For more than 25 years, AAEDE has provided training and employment services to thousands of Asian Americans throughout Southern California while collaborating with government, not-for-profit organizations, and major corporations in providing programs.

In 2004, AAEDE drew more than 1,000 attendees in workshops and seminars which covered topics from financial management and business growth to addressing legal issues associated with small business and other career ideas. AAEDE now also offers language-specific workshops in addition to its usual workshops in English. AAEDE holds an annual job fair, Asian Career Transitions (ACT), specifically designed to meet the career transition needs of Asian Americans.

David Woo, founder and president of AAEDE describes the goals of AAEDE as the “Four E’s”: Employment, Education, Enterprise and Excellence. Says Woo: “AAEDE exists to help people find employment, to assist them in getting the expanded education they may need to ensure their promotion and competence, and to assist them on the road to building a successful enterprise which will then, in turn, employ more Asian Americans.”
